Joe Melchiorre, Sr.

As much a philosopher as he is a barber, Joe Sr. has been cutting hair longer than many of his customers have been breathing. Joe is in his fifth decade running Plaza Barber & Hairstyling. He offers everything a visit to a barbershop should have: You’re guaranteed to leave with less hair and a whole lot more wisdom.

Legend has it Joe Jr. was actually born in his dad’s shop and still, to this day, rarely leaves. Really, though, it just feels that way. Joe Jr. has, in fact, been cutting hair since he was a kid. It’s his passion. It’s what he’s good at.

Bernice McNulty

For more than 25 years, Bernice has been by Joe Sr.’s side. No, we mean that literally, she works right next to him. With Bernice, you need to be ready for more than just a skilled barber: You’ll walk in her customer, you’ll leave her friend.

Drema Banks

A newbie by Plaza Barber & Hairstyling standards, Drema is approaching her 15th year at the shop. Her knowledge of how to make you look your best is rivaled only by her knowledge of the great outdoors. Don’t believe us? Just ask her!
